IR Dragon Fly

Posted by Mark Dalpe (Ottawa, Canada) on 14 April 2008 in Animal & Insect.

This impromptu shot of a Dragon fly happened on the Mizzy Lake trail in Algonquin park August of last summer. I was shooting birds and distant subjects when a large Dragon fly landed nearby. I pivoted and shot quickly and got the shot. What I find interesting about the shot in IR is that you can see the Dragon Fly's innards. The IR sees through the exoskeleton!
